Here is gallery of my epp C-27J Spartan transport aircraft

basic info :

Wingspan: 1500mm
Lenght: 1240mm
Weight: 1400g
4x A123 2300
2x DualSky Xmotor XM2830CA-10 , 3 blade GWS HD 9x5 (counter rotating)
rudder, elevator, ailerons, flaps, loading ramp and landing lights

First maiden flight ended with little tragedy. There is problems with everything - center of gravity, too extended flaps, bad design of front wheel for grass surface.

Fortunately plane landed just with small damages (just on front wheel mount)

  • Views: 271 acu pack is accessible through detachable nose section
  • Views: 288 flaps servos, ailerons servos - both attached directly with ball links
  • Views: 254 3 blades looks good
  • Views: 274 me and my monster :-D
  • Views: 257 ready to maiden flight, unfortunately current version of landing gear is not good for grass
  • Views: 301 try to start from carpet - front leg is nice but totally useless, will be redesigned to one big wheel

so, here is last batch of pictures from last year.

it is last version of Spartan with active landing lights, loading ramp and improved design with few panel lines ,decals and printed parts.

I will continue with video of loading ramp,more pictures and data. Stay tuned EPP C-27J Spartan - RC Groups (15)

  • Views: 277 and we have lift off, see ramp under tail and redesigned landing gear. This version is better for raw graw surfaces

here is first Spartan video. It is from beginning of flying with Spartan so landings is not so good :-( Also I must take video with better camera then this one, but you can see few loops there.

This is first version, current version is much more rigid - servo holder is from balza instead of EPP and pushrod is 2 mm instead of 0.5mm wire.

I am waiting for Jeti Duplex R14 receiver and then I want add unlocking servo for load. Now you need lot of luck to do airdrop somewhere close to wanted place because load is sometimes stuck up between ramp doors and so.

With lock will be possible open ramp door and then release and drop load.

It is very sad- Start to the first flight with all these defects and expect that it will turn out well- It was Your first model of this category?

Yep, but it is long time ago and now I am much more experienced and Spartan is still in good shape.
